Taxi Pascal is first and foremost Pascal Vicente: born and raised in Bordeaux, an independent craftsman taxi driver based in Saucats, on the outskirts of Bordeaux, holder of licence no. 180. A small, personal business where you talk directly to the person who will pick you up. No platform, no call centre, no algorithm.

Everything you need to know before booking
Do you work on public holidays?
Yes, Taxi Pascal works on every French public holiday (New Year’s Day, Easter Monday, 1 and 8 May, Ascension, Whit Monday, 14 July, 15 August, All Saints’ Day, 11 November and Christmas), day and night. The official night, Sunday and holiday rate (B or D) applies, with no other surcharge.
How much is a taxi from Bordeaux city centre to Mérignac airport?
The journey is about 12 km. At the official 2026 Gironde rates, a daytime one-way ride (rate C) costs around €29 (€2.83 pick-up charge + 12 km × €2.16), excluding waiting time in traffic and extras; at night, on Sundays or public holidays, allow around €42 (rate D). The exact price is shown on the approved taximeter, and you get an estimate when booking.
Do you have a 7-seater taxi or van in Bordeaux?
Yes. In addition to the Tesla Model X (4 passengers), Taxi Pascal has a Mercedes V-Class 7-seater van with a large boot, ideal for families, groups, weddings and airport transfers with lots of luggage. Please state the number of passengers and suitcases when booking.
How do I book a taxi for a very early departure?
Book the day before at the latest, by phone, WhatsApp or using the form on this site. Pascal personally confirms your pick-up and the exact time. Pre-dawn departures to Bordeaux-Mérignac airport or Saint-Jean station run 7 days a week, including weekends and public holidays.
Which payment methods are accepted on board?
All bank cards (Visa, Mastercard, CB), contactless or chip, for any amount with no minimum, as well as cash, cheques and bank transfer for businesses. American Express is not accepted. A receipt is provided for any fare of €25 or more, and on request below that; businesses can benefit from centralised monthly invoicing.
How does insurance assistance and repatriation work?
Call your assistance company (the number is on your green card or in your policy) and ask to be picked up by Taxi Pascal. The assistance company sends us a transport voucher, we pick you up at the garage, motorway service area or hospital, then take you and your luggage to your home or holiday destination. Depending on your policy, you pay nothing upfront.
Is the price fixed or metered?
Taxi fares are calculated by an approved taximeter, at rates set each year by prefectoral decree for the Gironde (in 2026: €2.83 pick-up charge, then €1.08 to €3.24 per km depending on rate A, B, C or D, €8 minimum fare). For long distances, wine tours and chauffeur-at-disposal services, you receive a free quote before departure. There is never any surcharge for rain, strikes or high demand.
Can you provide a baby seat or booster?
Yes, free of charge: an infant carrier for babies from 0 to 6 months, a child seat from 6 months to 6 years, and two boosters. Please mention it when booking, with the age of each child, so we can check availability and fit the seat before pick-up.
Do you accept pets, dogs and cats?
Yes, all pets are accepted: dogs, cats and small pets (in a basket or carrier for the smallest), and guide and assistance dogs are always welcome. Simply let us know when booking.
Do you provide approved medical transport?
Yes. Taxi Pascal is approved by the French national health insurance (CPAM): with a medical transport prescription, your trips to hospital, clinic, treatment or dialysis sessions can be covered, with no upfront payment depending on your situation.
